In Development— A Photography Gallery

We plan to document Kingston through the eyes of youth by sending them into the world with disposable cameras. With mentorship from local photographers and a videographer, the Youth Project Leader hopes to create a short film of the process before the exhibit debuts at the Kingston School of Art in the Spring.
Stay tuned!

Youth Project Leader

London Hosier
(she/her)

Hosier has worked as a Youth Project Leader with Juvenis since 2022, creating Mixed Media, a 12x12 art gallery, and facilitating J.F. Youth Film Night. London has a history of being involved with Blue Canoe’s theatre productions, and has worked as a Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manager, Lighting Designer/Operator, and Co-Director. These roles are not limited to Blue Canoe but demonstrate her unwavering passion for the arts. Last year, she led J.F. Youth Film Night and was inspired to pitch a new project for this upcoming season. In the future, she wants to continue shining a spotlight on locally-made films and youth filmmakers.

Mentors

For this project, local photographers and videographers will be working with youth to offer them support while they develop their individual styles. Each mentor has experience shooting a variety of different techniques, have learned their editing preferences, and have taken the time to carefully develop their craft. Feel free to browse their websites and social media pages to better understand the contribution that each has made while developing their careers in Kingston.
